How to choose and maintain universal braided hoses

Universal braided hoses play a key role in fluid transmission in automobiles, home appliances and industry. To ensure their efficient and long-term use, correct selection and daily maintenance are essential.

1. How to choose a suitable universal braided hose
Determine the use environment: The material and specifications of the hose should be determined according to the use environment. For example, in high temperature, high pressure or corrosive environments, materials with excellent heat resistance, pressure resistance or corrosion resistance should be selected to ensure the reliability of the hose in extreme environments.

Confirm the pressure requirements: Select a hose with corresponding pressure bearing capacity according to the working pressure of the fluid to avoid hose rupture due to insufficient pressure. In high-pressure scenarios, it is recommended to use a hose with a multi-layer braided structure to improve durability.

Choose the appropriate length and connection method: Determine the length of the hose according to the specific installation requirements, and select the appropriate connector type to ensure easy installation and good sealing. Insufficient length may cause the hose to be overstretched, while too long may easily cause bending and wear problems.

2. Installation Guide for Universal Braided Hose
Check the hose and connector: Carefully check the integrity of the hose and connector before installation to ensure that there is no risk of damage and leakage. For hoses used to transmit high-pressure fluids, it is recommended to perform a pressure test to confirm their sealing performance.

Ensure the correct connection method: During installation, the joint and the pipe should be tightly connected to prevent liquid or gas leakage. Use a suitable clamping device (such as a clamp or connector) to ensure that the joint is firm and not loose.

Avoid excessive bending or twisting: Avoid excessive bending or twisting of the hose during installation, as this will reduce the service life of the hose and increase the risk of rupture. In a small space, try to use a joint with an angle to avoid direct bending of the hose.

3. Daily maintenance methods for general braided hoses
Regular inspection: It is recommended to regularly check the wear and aging of the hose, especially for hoses used in high temperature or corrosive environments, and replace hoses with wear, cracks or deformation in time to ensure safe use.

Cleaning and maintenance: For hoses that are prone to dirt accumulation, regular cleaning is required to prevent clogging or corrosion. Use a mild detergent and a soft brush to clean the surface of the hose, and avoid using strong acid or strong alkali solutions to avoid damage to the hose material.

Avoid excessive use: Especially in high temperature, high pressure or chemical environments, it is recommended to replace the hose regularly to ensure that its performance is always as good as new. Even hoses used in ordinary environments should be checked and replaced at regular intervals to ensure their continued safety.

4. Common problems and solutions
Hose leakage: Once a hose is found to be leaking, it should be stopped immediately and the cause should be found out. Usually, leakage may be caused by loose joints, broken or worn hoses. The defective parts should be replaced or the joints should be reinstalled in time.

Hose bending or deformation: If the hose is severely bent or deformed during use, it may be due to long-term exposure to extreme conditions or insufficient pressure. It is recommended to check the pressure parameters of the hose regularly and avoid using the hose for a long time in extreme environments.
